Safari Tour of Master's Hall

A video project that my Educational Technology classmates and I acted in and edited.

Promote, support, and model creative and innovative thinking and inventiveness

Prezi Lessons

Prezi is one way that I like to present lessons to students they are often more entertaining for students to watch and more interesting for me to make.

Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats.

Swipe Lesson

Swipe is an online presentation editor that allows you to push a presentation to numerous devices and control the rate and timing of the presentation, similar to Nearpod. Students love to use their own devices in the classroom.

Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats.

Personal Interest Project

This project was an exploration of digital storytelling, what it is and how it can be used both outside and inside the classroom. I continue to come back to this project to gain ideas in the classroom.

Promote student reflection using collaborative  tools to reveal and clarify students’ conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes.

Smartboard Lesson

This mini-lesson on the Bill of Rights was fun to do and taught me much about how to use the Smartboard and Smart technology.

Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote  student learning and creativity.

Diigo Social Bookmarking

This is one digital tool that I did not anticipate using very often, but have found it extremely useful for putting lessons together, and keeping all of the links I use and need in an organized fashion.

When taking photos I try to see the subjects in the camara's lense from a different perspective. Whether that requires me laying across my front porch step to meet a woolly bear face to face or taking a photo of one flower again and again to get the perfect angle, blend of color, and sharpness of background. Using Photoshop to edit my photos has opened a whole new world.

One of the biggest questions for school districts and teachers is often about technology and its inclusion in the classroom. I enjoy using technology in the classroom. I find that it makes a lesson or information more relevant to the students and allows for some interesting critical thinking questions as students discover information on their own.
